Dr. Stephanie Smith

Dr. Smith is a graduate of The University of Florida and has been practicing in the Greater Atlanta area for 6 years. Her background includes very exciting internships at Disney's Animal Kingdom and The Indianapolis Zoo where she worked with all sorts of furry (and not so furry!) creatures. She has practiced extensively in both Emergency and Critical Care and General Day practice. In addition to internal medicine and general surgeries, Dr. Smith enjoys working with clients on behavioral cases.

She has 3 dogs: Milka (a 10 year old Rottweiler), Emma (a 6 year old Lab mix) and Elvis (a 6 year old Rottweiler/Bulldog mix), and a herd of cats. Dr. Smith is also an advocate of rescue organizations, she has been known to personally foster special needs pets until they could find their forever homes. There are very few rescues that have come across Dr. Smith's path that didn't get to spend some time at her house!

She created Peach Pets Animal Hospital with the vision to change the way people think about pet health care, and therefore emphasizes the importance of preventative care for all our pets. Dr. Smith believes that no pet should suffer from discomfort, whether related to age or after a procedure. She also wants every pet to enjoy coming to the vet and thinking of her as their best friend!

When she is not at the hospital she enjoys hiking with her four year old son in the Georgia mountains or cruising down the Chattahoochee in a canoe. She enjoys traveling and has already seen Australia, Mexico, Eastern Europe, and Canada. Next on her list is Alaska and the Galapagos Islands!
